Hello! May I offer you a flyover of my story? I was born and raised in Nebraska, then moved 650 miles away to attend a Division II university on a track scholarship. Despite newly committing my life to Jesus in the spring of 2002, I still had very high athletic and educational aspirations.
However, the Lord took a church family near the university to begin shaping the preacher I am today. I moved back home to attend Nebraska Christian College, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Pastoral Ministry in 2008. Ministry has taken me alongside some wonderful people in Missouri, Texas, Kansas and, now, Michigan. Our family genuinely believes the Lord has used each ministry to refine our character, biblical faithfulness and vocational clarity, and has led us to set down roots - to make a life and ministry home - here in the "Mitten."
In 2005, the Lord began shaping a higher level of ministry significance - my family. Marrying (still referred to as) my bride, Cheryl, has been one of the greatest blessings in three and a half decades of life! Very close behind are our children: Isabella, 11; Francesca, 7; Penelope, 4; Magnolia, 2; and our fifth (our first son!) arriving mid-April !
"What about Jeremy, personally?" I'm quite often with those in the above paragraph :) I may also be near a basketball court, as a Duke fan; or a football field, as a Nebraska fan. (Although, the folks in Lansing and Ann Arbor are pretty nice ;) To remain a fresh learner, I'm devouring the Bible daily... just for me; and I'm frequently having coffee or a meal with humble, hungry followers of Jesus and church leaders. I may also be found with literature on presidential and World War II history, or how to raise littles well - not just because their daddy is a preacher.
What a deep privilege and joy to do life and ministry alongside you and yours!
